Onsite Services and Non-Invasive Testing

One of the many advantages of being a patient of Advanced Heart and Vascular Institute is that we offer a wide range of services and non-invasive testing right in our office. This saves you the time, money, and hassle of finding and traveling to another facility for these services and tests.

Heart and Vascular Testing

We provide a full spectrum of onsite heart and vascular testing, ensuring our patients receive comprehensive care without the need to visit multiple facilities. By offering everything in one place, we enhance patients’ experiences with convenience and continuity of care, allowing our dedicated team to tailor each treatment plan seamlessly.

2D & 3D Echocardiogram

2D and 3D echocardiograms are essential tools in cardiac testing that provide detailed images of the heart. A 2D echocardiogram uses sound waves to create a flat, two-dimensional image of the heart, allowing doctors to observe its movement and assess functions like valve operation and blood flow. 3D echocardiograms, however, offer a more complete view by generating a three-dimensional image, enhancing our physicians’ ability to visualize the heart’s structure and function in greater detail.

Echocardiograms may be used as a diagnostic test or as a technique to plan future surgical procedures.

Cardiac Stress Tests

At Advanced Heart and Vascular Institute, we offer three kinds of cardiac stress tests to detect heart disease:

Chemical Stress Tests

A chemical stress test uses medication to simulate the effects of exercise on the heart, allowing doctors to evaluate heart function and blood flow without physical exertion.

Exercise Stress Testing

An exercise stress test requires patients walking on a treadmill or pedaling a stationary bike to monitor how their heart functions under physical exertion.

Nuclear Stress Testing

A nuclear stress test involves injecting a small amount of radioactive material to create images of blood flow to the heart both at rest and during exertion.

MUGA Scans

Multigated acquisition (MUGA) scans are imaging tests that evaluate the function of the heart's ventricles by tracking the flow of a radioactive tracer injected into the bloodstream. They are key for providing an accurate and reliable assessment of the heart's pumping efficiency, which are essential for diagnosing and managing various cardiac conditions.

Venous & Vascular Ultrasound

Ultrasounds are imaging tests that use sound waves to visualize veins and arteries, helping to diagnose issues such as blood clots and arterial blockages. These ultrasounds are crucial for detecting and assessing blood flow problems, allowing for timely intervention and management of circulatory conditions.

Treatments & Monitoring

Our wide range of treatments includes a variety of monitoring systems. Each is designed to provide our patients with peace of mind that they are receiving around-the-clock care, even outside our office doors. We also take pride in offering comprehensive, minimally invasive varicose vein treatments.

Implantable Loop Recorder

An implantable loop recorder is a small device placed under the skin to continuously monitor and record heart rhythms over an extended period. This device is particularly beneficial for long-term monitoring, providing valuable insights into unexplained fainting or palpitations.

Holter Monitor

A Holter monitor is a portable device worn by patients to continuously record heart rhythms over a 24 to 48-hour period. This device is essential for detecting irregular heartbeats and assessing symptoms that occur sporadically.

Pacemaker Monitoring

Pacemaker monitoring involves our physicians regularly evaluating a pacemaker's function to ensure it is operating correctly and effectively regulating the heart's rhythm. This monitoring is crucial for patient safety and accurate treatment plans.

Remote Monitoring

Remote monitoring allows our physicians and providers to track a patient’s health data from a distance, allowing them to observe vital signs and symptoms without an in-office visit. This monitoring allows for continuous care and timely intervention in the event of an emergency.

Varicose Vein Treatment

The physicians at Advanced Heart and Vascular Institute are proud to offer a range of minimally invasive varicose vein treatments through our dedicated vein clinic. Learn more about our vein clinic.

Our practice is devoted to avoiding major surgery and, instead, providing minimally invasive but effective surgical and medical treatment of heart, vascular, and venous diseases.
